Hoisting machine built by the Bedford Foundry & Machine Co, Bedford, Indiana. This photo was taken in the winter of 2005 of one of the few remaining derrick buildings that served the #7 Quarry. This quarry began in 1893 when the Mussey Stone Company of Elyria incorporated and began operations in the Amherst district. The quarry was absorbed by th Cleveland Stone Company four years later.
