Amherst Quarries - Cleveland Quarries Entrance

Cleveland Quarries Entrance
off of State Route 113 in South
Amherst, Ohio. This picture is
probably 15 years old as the
scrubs are now approximately
6 feet tall. The flags are no
longer at the site.

In April 2007 the company
announced it was moving its
headquarters to Vermilion,
Ohio. The Cleveland Quarries
Company, a unit of Amherst
Stone Company (AMST), is
doing well and will be
upgrading most of it's
equipment with this move.

It will be interesting to watch
if this sandstone block with
the company logo and date of
founding (1868) will remain or
be moved.
