Quarry Story Video - South Amherst Quarry Project |

December 18, 2007, Elyria, Ohio - As part of a major announcement about the development of the quarry property located in South Amherst and Amherst Township, Lorain County Community College produced a video about the property, its history, and development plans by the Industrial Realty Group (IRG). IRG purchased the property from American Stone Industries for $22 million. The development is slated to include: - 1,150 condos, townhouses and farm estates. - A lodge with guest rooms, restaurants and a spa. - A recreation center with indoor tennis and swimming. - An equestrian center with a 60-horse stable and indoor arena. - A small-craft marina, 20 miles of rustic trails and a 100-foot waterfall. The project will take 2 to 10 years to complete. The video was produced by Ron Jantz.
